What's your idea?

Browserism - Extensions for web browsers

I use Safari and all my bookmarks are in it.

If I a click on a bookmark, it opens in Safari, no matter if a rule exist.

Would it be possible to have extensions, for main browsers, to intercept the 'click' and then follow Browserism's rules?

Perhaps implemented as in these extensions, there are probably several ways to do/intercept it, locally in the browser or perhaps globally at OS level.

- All clicks are intercepted inside a page, a bookmarks or any app (textedit) by using one extension for each browser.

- or by intercepting all 'open link' on the mac, one applications/plugin for Mac OS X, not a browser level, some kind of firewall, could say in inside MiTM :-)

Hi Stéphane,

I really have no experience with developing browser extension, but will look into it. Not sure what is possible, but this sounds like a good idea. For the time being, you should be able to right-click a link (not a bookmark though) and choose Open URL, which will open the link in the default browser you have set up in Browserism.

I like that I can right click and open a URL, but it would be even better if Browserism could simply interpret any click from any browser.

Don't know where to add this comment...
FYI, if you select a link in ~any application, using Popclip OpenLink works perfectly well, the rules are followed too.
