  1. accomodate non-registered browsers/commands

Hi. Since the browser list is automatic, I'd like to see a entry to add specific inputs vs the auto-detection handler to determine what is a usable browser. This would allow anyone to create rules to handle specific profiles. Example, i would input several "browsers" that resemble the below command, and then write rules that utilize these entries.

open -na "Google Chrome" --args --profile-directory="Profile 15"

    • Let Browserism open Firefox in different profiles

I use multiple Firefox profiles for different contexts. Adding rules to open links in different Firefox profiles would be extremely useful. I guess it might be possible to support this with multiple "fake" apps, but supporting multiple profiles would be useful.

      • Rules in Browserism won't handel Lokal File-Links

Browserism-Rules will be ignored for Lokal Links like file:///private/var/folders/* – they will always be opened by the current selected Browser in Browserism, not by the matching Role.

        • Filter UTM labels from the URL

Many content providers add UTM sources to track your activity in social networks. Needless to say how can it compromise your privacy. I don't feel it's a good practice in modern web at all. It would be great to have feature to filter UTM labels in Browserism. Or have an ability to write rules of URL translation by hands.

It'd be great to see browserism do support the brave browser. This would be a reason for me to buy it. :)

Example: When I click a link in Spark, it will open in Chrome. When I click a link in Mail, it change to Safari.

              • Browserism: Chrome icon looks blurry on retina display

I use both chrome, firefox and safari. Only chrome's icon looks blurry on retina display. I would love to get that fixed as it catches my eye every time.

                • Switch browser depending on power status (battery or plugged in)

Usually I use Chrome as my default browser when my MacBook is plugged in, but on the road I prefer Safari, because it has much better power management. Chrome is known for being a battery hog.

I want to send any link that contains the word "unsubscribe" to a different browser so when I'm unsubscribing from lists in Mail it doesn't clutter up my Safari tabs.

                    • Since PowerShell is now available for Mac, Plisterine should let me select executable .ps1 files

Using the right shebang, PowerShell scripts can be run directly in Mac OSX now. The script selection dialog in Plisterine doesn't seem to be aware of this fact just yet... :-)

Any chance you can implement a feature to open links in a specific browser based on whick key(combination) is held?

                        • Browserism - Extensions for web browsers

I use Safari and all my bookmarks are in it.

If I a click on a bookmark, it opens in Safari, no matter if a rule exist.

Would it be possible to have extensions, for main browsers, to intercept the 'click' and then follow Browserism's rules?

Perhaps implemented as in these extensions, there are probably several ways to do/intercept it, locally in the browser or perhaps globally at OS level.

                          - All clicks are intercepted inside a page, a bookmarks or any app (textedit) by using one extension for each browser.

                          - or by intercepting all 'open link' on the…

                            Hi Stéphane,

I really have no experience with developing browser extension, but will look into it. Not sure what is possible, but this sounds like a good idea. For the time being, you should be able to right-click a link (not a bookmark though) and choose Open URL, which will open the link in the default browser you have set up in Browserism.

                            Will

                          • SSID

Hello ! It could be great if Browserism can automatically choose default browser based on wifi SSID. On my Macbook, I prefer use Safari at home and Chrome at work. My work hours can change, so if Browserism could be based on SSID instead of schedule, I could be perfect :)

                            • Browserism - Default browser based on current VPN

                              Hello William,

Would it be possible to have an option to switch based on the current VPN or VPN+server?

                              For example:
                              IF CyberGhost VPN THEN Opera

IF ZenMate VPN - France Server(s) THEN Safari
IF ZenMate VPN - Spain Server(s) THEN Chrome

I don't know if it is possible to detect which VPN is active, some use Apple Network, some their own way... some can work above another one (2 at the same time).

If not, the IP can be used, defined one by one, by the user, most of the time a server has from 1 to a dozen…

Shell scripts do not always have an extension, and even if they do, it isn't always .sh. It would be very useful to be able to select scripts with no extension within Plisterine. Thanks for a useful app!
